Sikkens: the right color

Symptoms

The applied pale colour turns yellow.

Cause

With an alkyd based topcoat this is intrinsic to the binder.

Solution

Sand and clean. Often solved by altering the chosen colour to a greyish option, which makes the problem less visible.  Apply waterbased paints, which are less
prone to yellowing.
