Sikkens: the right color

Cetol HLS has been used extensively on the visonary new Serpentine Gallery in Kensington Gardens.

Designed by architects Alvaro Siza and Eduardo Souto de Moura, working closely with Arup's Cecil Balmond, the new building has been designed "to establish a dialogue with the Neo-Classical house, resulting in a structure that mirrors the domestic scale of the Serpentine."

The Gallery annually commisions architects of worldwide acclaim to design a pavillion for the gallery's lawn, to provide a showcase for contemporary architectural practice.  This year, the architects based the pavillion on a simple rectangular, organic grid, distorted to form a curvaceous shape.
