Rubbol SB has been applied to one of the landmarks in British Naval history, the Main Gate at the Historic Dockyard in Chatham.

Four hundred years of naval tradition is preserved on the 80 acre site, with almost half the 100 plus buildings and structures listed as ancient monuments, the highest form of statutory protection given to buildings in Britain.

The main gate is the focal entrance point to the site, with the massive oak doors coated in Rubbol SB, a high gloss silicone opaque coating.

Today, The Historic Dockyard is heralded as the world's finest example of a dockyard from the age of sail, and is maintained by the Trust whose core objectives of preserving the site in a manner appropriate to its archeological, historical and architectural importance, have been aided with the specification of Sikkens.
