Canterbury Bus Station was only rejuvinated a few years ago, as part of the multi million pound Whitefriars development of the city, but during that time, serious problems occurred with the timber windows and doors.
Originally finished with varnish, the coating had begun to peel and flake, leading to water ingress which was threatening the timber. An immeadiate solution was sought and Cetol BL21 plus and Cetol BL31 was specified.
Cetol BL31 is a highly translucent, water borne woodstain that is recoatable in 5 hours and is therefore ideal where multiple coats are required in a short space of time.
When used over Cetol BL21 plus on windows and doors, the system offers a 4 to 5 year maintenance cycle.
